# Changelog

> New features and changes to the Adspo API and MCP server.

**November 2026**

Your library, following and visual formats

### Your library

The API and MCP server can now read and add to your Adspo library, as the person who owns the key or connected the assistant.

* **Workspaces:** spaces are now called workspaces. [Get workspaces](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-workspaces.md) lists yours, and [Get user boards](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-boards.md) takes `workspace_id`. `/v1/spaces` and `space_id` still work.
* **Following:** [Get followed brands](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-following.md), all their ads in one feed with [Get followed brands' creatives](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-following-creatives.md), and [Follow brand](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/follow-brand.md) for any brand that's in Adspo.
* **Groups:** [Get groups](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-groups.md), [Get group creatives](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-group-creatives.md) and [Add brand to group](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/add-group-brand.md).
* **Boards and saving:** [Create board](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/create-board.md), [Save creative](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/save-creative.md) and [Add creative to board](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/add-board-creative.md).

Changes only use a credit when they change something: saving a creative that's already saved, or following a brand you already follow, is free. They have their own [rate limits](https://docs.adspo.co/introduction.md#rate-limits).

### Finding creatives

* **Search inside ads:** `q` searches ad copy, video transcripts, on-screen text and landing pages, and `search_in` narrows it to one of them. See [Searching inside ads](https://docs.adspo.co/introduction.md#searching-inside-ads).
* **Visual format:** `visual_format` finds a style of ad, such as Talking Head, Unboxing or Before & After, from the same list as the app's filter.
* Both work on every creative feed, which now runs on the same search index as the Adspo app.

### MCP server

* New tools: `get_workspaces` (replacing `get_spaces`), `get_following`, `get_following_creatives`, `get_groups`, `get_group_creatives`, `save_creative`, `create_board`, `follow_brand`, `add_brand_to_group` and `send_feedback`. The assistant only uses the ones that change your library when you ask it to.
* The creative tools take `q`, `search_in` and `visual_format`.
* When a limit is reached, the assistant is told when it can try again, so it can tell you.
* Existing connections keep working. Start a new chat to see the new tools.

### Changed

* `end_date` now filters on when a creative was **first seen**, like `start_date`, so together they're the window the creatives started running in. It used to filter on when they were last seen. To find creatives that have stopped running, use `is_active=false`.
* `order_by=most_impressions` is now only on [Get brand creatives](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-brand-creatives.md). Impression rank is within one brand, so it can't order creatives across brands, and the other feeds return a `400` for it.
* An invalid `category` now returns the list of valid ones.

**September 2026**

Single creatives and the gallery

* [Get creative](https://docs.adspo.co/api-reference/get-creative.md) returns one creative by its ID, with its ads when you pass `include_ads=true`.
* The MCP server's creative tools show an [interactive gallery](https://docs.adspo.co/mcp-server.md#the-creative-gallery) in clients that support MCP Apps, such as Claude, and include each creative's ads by default.
* New `get_creative` tool, which also fetches a video's transcript.
* Every tool tells clients that it only reads data, and has a readable title.

**May 2026**

Launch

The Adspo API and [MCP server](https://docs.adspo.co/mcp-server.md) launched with:

* Creatives across all brands, with filters, and video transcripts
* Brand search, brand profiles and each brand's creatives
* Your spaces, boards and the creatives on them
* Credit usage
